Garment Preflight is operated by Will Doak in Ōtautahi Christchurch, New Zealand. Privacy questions and access or correction requests can be sent to will@garmentpreflight.com.
Information collected
Garment Preflight may collect your name, email, project description, file links, messages, billing details and records created while assessing or delivering a project. Technical files may include patterns, artwork, garment references, measurements and other commercially sensitive material.
How information is collected
Information is collected when you use the enquiry form, email Garment Preflight, share a file link, request a quote, approve a project or communicate during delivery. Basic technical information may also be recorded by the website host for security and operation.
Why it is used
- To assess whether a project fits the service.
- To prepare quotes, scopes, invoices and project records.
- To deliver agreed work and manage revisions.
- To protect confidential material and resolve questions or disputes.
- To meet tax, accounting, legal and security obligations.
Service providers and overseas storage
The enquiry form and project workflow may use service providers such as Google, cloud file-transfer services, email, accounting and website-hosting providers. Those providers may process or store information outside New Zealand. Only the information reasonably required for the relevant service should be shared.
Confidential project material
Project files are used only to assess, quote or deliver the requested work. Garment Preflight will not publish a project, contact your client or use confidential work in marketing without written permission. If a separate confidentiality agreement applies, it forms part of the project record.
Retention and security
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used. Access is limited to the project purpose. Enquiries that do not proceed should be deleted or de-identified when no longer needed. Contract, invoice and essential delivery records may be retained for legal, tax and dispute-management periods. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Access and correction
You may ask whether Garment Preflight holds personal information about you and request access to or correction of that information. Requests will be handled in accordance with applicable New Zealand privacy law. Identity may need to be confirmed before information is released.

This statement may be updated when the service or its systems change. The current version will be published on this page.
