Digital garment development and pre-sample documentation for brands, design studios and production teams.

CLO3D Garment Development

For labels, patternmakers and product-development teams

I assemble and simulate the garment in CLO3D, set up the agreed materials, trims and artwork and prepare the views or variations required for the project.

Project inputs

  • DXF-AAMA / ASTM, CLO or ZPRJ file
  • Base size, avatar or measurement direction
  • Construction and finished-garment references
  • Fabric, trim, colour and artwork information
  • Required outputs, intended use and deadline

Available outputs

  • Front, side, back and detail views
  • Multiple colourways, material options or artwork placements
  • Turntables or presentation sheets
  • Development report, assumptions or delivery notes
  • One consolidated review round

The service starts from an existing digital pattern. Production pattern drafting, grading, fit approval and editable CLO source transfer are not included unless separately quoted.

Project fees start at NZD 250. A file review confirms the deliverables, timeline and final quote before work begins.

Workflow

A controlled four-step handoff.

One review lead, one written scope and one organised final delivery keep the project manageable.

FAQ

Practical questions before sharing files.

Do you make or correct production patterns?

Not as a standard service. The initial offers start from an existing digital pattern. Minor CLO adjustments may be made when explicitly directed by the client's patternmaker or technical lead, but new production pattern drafting, grading and final pattern approval are excluded unless separately qualified and scoped.

What files can I send?

DXF-AAMA or DXF-ASTM, CLO garment files and ZPRJ files are preferred. A PDF pattern may be assessable for some builds, but clean fashion DXF reduces uncertainty. References, measurements, artwork and construction information should be included where available.

Is the editable CLO file included?

No. The editable CLO source file is excluded by default. Source-file transfer can be quoted separately where the project assets and licence conditions allow it.

How are revisions handled?

Initial projects include one consolidated review round against the approved brief. New design directions, new inputs or fragmented additional rounds are quoted separately.

Does the digital garment replace a physical sample?

No. It can support development, proportion, colour, artwork and communication decisions. Real fabric behaviour, construction and fit still require physical sampling and qualified review.

How long does a project take?

A standard single-style build is usually scheduled for 5 to 10 business days after all required inputs and the deposit are received. Complex files, batches and rush deadlines are quoted individually.

What does it cost?

Project fees start at NZD 250. A file review confirms the deliverables, timeline and final quote before work begins.

Can you work with teams outside New Zealand?

Yes. All projects are delivered remotely.
